The Kazakh University of the International Relations and World Languages named after Abylay khan is teaching and scientific complex with 60 years of educational tradition, having authority in Kazakhstan and overseas. In accordance with Resolutions of the President and Government of the Republic Kazakhstan No 256 of March 24, 1998 the university has the high mission to train specialists in the fields of foreign languages and international relations. The following priorities are fundamental to the University activity:

1. The University attempts to realize all positive initiatives of Ministry of Education and Sciences of the Republic Kazakhstan, and to be in the vanguard of national system of the high vocational training.

2. The University constantly improves and develops the educational infrastructure of the professions in the fields of foreign languages and international relations. The University sets a problem of the expansion of the nomenclature of these professions and increase the number of teached foreign languages.

3. The University realizes transition to international standard quality education internationals and specialist of the foreign profile.

4. Develop scientific and training-methodical infrastructure of the education in the fields of foreign languages and international relations.

5. Increase the possibility of education in the sphere of the university via introduction of information technology and remote education.

6. Consolidate material, technical and library base of the education in the university.

7. Develop the economic incentives of the improvements in education quality.

8. Actively study, flexibly react and satisfy need of the Republic Kazakhstan and other countries in high skilled specialists in the fields of foreign languages and international relations.

9. Realize activity on education of students in spirit of the humanistic world outlook and common human of valuables, propagandize ideas of the Kazakhstan patriotism, international consent and respect to national tradition, language, histories and Kazakhstan.

10. Promote the expansion of and deepen education contacts between Republic of Kazakhstan and foreign countries.
