The Faculty of Oriental Studies is leading an active collaboration with HEI-partners and also with representatives of many countries of the East in the Republic of Kazakhstan. This collaboration has many aspects and aims to strengthen friendly and business relationship between our countries in education field. As a result of established by departments of our faculty partnership connection with many foreign Universities, was opened a real opportunity for our students to study and also for teachers to raise their professional level in the studied language’s countries. At the same time our partners also have a good opportunity, through studying in our University; they can meet with our country, our people, with culture and language. The Faculty sets the task to expand the geography of their cooperation, because our Faculty keeps pace with the times.

• Turkish Cultural Center in Almaty
• The Embassy of Saudi Arabia, the Egyptian Cultural Center
• The University Taba, Tabayi in Tegeran

A close liaison was established by the department of Oriental Study with the State Korean organizations, such as a KOICA, the Education Center at Embassy of the Republic of Korea, that provides full support in the development of the Korean office. Because of the government of Korea allocates grants through these organizations, teachers and students can take language training in the Republic of Korea.

Japanese language teachers have the opportunity to work on probation in various universities in Japan for one year. Among the teachers of our University, 6 people had this chance.

Due to established links between our University and Universities of the Republic of Korea, students of the Korean office are able to study according to the various programs in the Korea’s universities. For 6 years in Korea were trained 48 students of KazUMOiMYA and there were invited about 40 students from Korean universities to study Russian and Kazakh languages. According to the agreement about cooperation, our students have an opportunity to study and live in dormitories in Korea for free.

The main directions of International activity of the agreement are:

1. Expansion of International cooperation programs;
2. Promoting education of our students abroad;
3. Development of foreign students’ training programs;
4. Professional development of Korean language teachers;
5. Implementation of joint project according to research projects;
6. The holding of International conferences and seminars .

In the future department plans to implement such International cooperative programs, such as:

• Program 2+2 with obtaining diplomas from two universities (KazUMOiMYA and Partnership University of Korea). 2+2 means that students have to study in their University for 2 years and students of 3-4 courses (with an excellent academic performance) have the opportunity to continue their education in the partner university, after all they can obtain 2 diplomas.
• Master’s in Korea. At the end of our University, students, who has a certificate of passing the 3^rd or 4^th level of knowledge of Korean language (KPT) are able to (receiving a scholarship) study free a Master in universities of Korea.

Students, who have achieved excellent results in the process of learning the language, have the opportunity to continue their education in the best universities in China.

Today, there are more than 5 students of II, III, IV courses are studying in universities of Beijing according to programs of intergovernmental exchange (HSK-examination determines the level of Chinese language).

Each year the Department of Oriental Languages in conjunction with the Iranian Cultural Center organizes summer language courses for students of Kazakhstan, studying Persian language and refresher courses for teachers. Many students of the Arab department continue their education in universities of Egypt at a certain training period. Some students of the Persian department visit different cities in Iran during the summer and simultaneously undergo language training. Students of the Turkish department, after graduation, continue their education of Master's in Turkey.
