1993 – with support of university of Ankara (Turkey) turkish language is entered in educational process as the second foreign language and as the second specialty.

The 1994 - in structure of faculty of the Kazakh language opens branch of the Arabian language and cultures.

The 1995 - Japanese language is entered the study as the second foreign language.

1995 – With the participation of the Ambassador of Islamic Republic
Iran Kanon Mehdi the Persian branch opens. 8 students have acted (arrived).

The 1996 - Occurs association of the Arabian and Turkish branches and the faculty of East languages is opened.

June 11, 1998 – With order of the Rector of the university opened the faculty of East philology, where were organized four departments:

• Department of the Kazakh philology;
  
• Department of Oriental;
  
• Department of East languages;
  
• Department of Arabian language and culture.
  

The first dean of faculty –was Doctor of philological sciences K.T Risaldi.

The 1999 - In the structure of department of orientalistics Chinese language is taught as the basic language, thus opensed the speciality " Chinese philology ".

2000 - As the Dean of faculty was assigned the Doctor of philological sciences, professor Satenova S.K

The 2002 - Dean of faculty was assigned the Doctor of philological sciences, professor Mahripov P.V 

The 2006 - Dean of faculty was assigned the Doctor of philosophical sciences, professor Raev D.S. The department of World(global) cultures and civilizations was opened. The specialty "regional studies" with knowledge of East language was opened. 

2007 - The Dean of faculty was assigned the Doctor of philosophical sciences, professor Nayrzbaeva A.B. The specialty "Culturology" with knowledge of two foreign languages and specialty " Oriental studies " was opened.
